Healthy Chocolate Cake

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ripe avocado mashed
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup maple syrup or honey
  • ½ cup almond milk (or regular milk)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup ground flaxseed
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ¾ cup almond flour (or oat flour)
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • ½ cup dark chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 9-inch cake pan.
  • Blend Wet Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together mashed avocado, eggs, maple syrup, almond milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Mix Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, combine ground flaxseed, cocoa powder, almond flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Combine & Fold in Chocolate Chips: Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until smooth. Fold in chocolate chips.
  • Bake: Pour the batter into the cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Cool & Serve: Let cool before slicing.
